The Hon Patrick Gorman MP

Patrick Gorman has spent his life developing public policy solutions to improve the lives of all Australians.

He entered Parliament committed to delivering on the Australian values of opportunity, democracy and fairness.

Prior to Parliament, Patrick served as Principal Adviser to Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and delivered the election of the Western Australian Labor Government.

He serves as Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister, Assistant Minister for the Public Service and Assistant Minister to the Attorney-General.

Patrick has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Social Science from Curtin University.

As Assistant Minister to the Attorney-General his portfolio responsibilities include:

  • marriage
  • the Office of Parliamentary Counsel
  • the Open Government Partnership
  • the Australian Financial Security Authority
  • the government’s Safe and Responsible Artificial Intelligence Agenda.

Patrick is a proud Australian and a proud Western Australian. He and his wife Jess are raising their young children Leo and Ruby in North Perth.
