Landmark reforms undertaken by the Albanese Government to strengthen child safety have been recognised by the global Out of the Shadows Index (the Index) – ranking Australia 1st for efforts to prevent and respond to sexual violence against children.

The Albanese Government’s rollout of specialised and trauma-informed sexual violence legal services is now national with the commencement of funding for Victoria’s Justice Navigator pilot program in partnership with the Allan Labor Government.

The second phase of ‘One Talk at a Time’, Australia’s first national awareness raising campaign to help prevent child sexual abuse and keep children and young people safe, is now underway.
