Supporting community safety in the Northern Territory

The Commonwealth is providing $14.2 million in additional funding to deliver policing and other community safety support in Alice Springs.

This investment also provides an extension of the national partnership agreement between the Commonwealth and Northern Territory Governments to 31 December 2025.

This is in addition to the Albanese Government’s $250 million landmark plan for A Better, Safer Future for Central Australia.

We continue to work closely with the Northern Territory Government to tackle crime, keep women and children safe and support young people in communities across Alice Springs and Central Australia.
